I was the head teacher of an after school program for elementary school children ages 5-12 for two consecutive summers. One of my major tasks was tutoring children with their homework. I worked with a variety of different children, and tutored them in subjects such as English, Science, and Math. My approach is gentle yet firm. Because each child learns differently, I create a curriculum based on the specific needs and the learning style(s) that work best for that child, in the hopes of developing a productive yet fun environment for learning.
I have experience using and teaching both Macs and PCs. I can teach you how to type efficiently, access your system settings, and use Microsoft Word and Excel, among other skills necessary to use your computer on a day-to-day basis. Once an assessment of your skills has been made, I will create a curriculum specific to you and your needs, to get you up to speed with the latest technology.
