Discrete Math

I have worked several years at Montclair Satate Univeristy and now at Columbia University teaching several subjects in math at the undergrad and graduate level such as discrete mathematics and finite mathematics. I started by working with professors as a TA, initially and currently also tutor students in math education department. I'm familiar with proofs, number theory, and combinatorics.

Differential Equations

I have a degree in physics and a minor in mathematics. I'm also currently working on a masters in applied mathematics & statistics. In several courses, such as Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE) and Partial Differential Equations (PDE), we make heavy use of programs such as Mathematica and Maple. I have excelled in the use of these software so much so that I've been asked to TA a course in Computational Math this Fall.

MCAT

I've taken the MCATs myself twice scoring above 32 points combined. And I've completed two years of medical school before switching my focus to research and education. Over the past two years, I've been teaching Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Organic Chemistry, and Calculus at the College Level and preparing students for their MCATs, DATs, and GREs.

Autodesk Maya

I've been teaching 3D-animation with Maya for over 4 years. Prior to that, I taught my robotics teams to create 3D-animations for competitions using Maya and 3D-Studio Max. I'm also proficient with GNU 3D programs such as Blender.

Linear Algebra

I've been teaching math including linear algebra for 10 years. I've completed two courses in Linear Algebra, one as undergrad and the other as grad student with A-. This Fall I will be conducting supplemental instruction sessions in Linear Algebra at MSU.

Macintosh

I've been using apple computers since the first Macintosh classic came out. Although I also have PC's at home and at work, Mac's are my main tools for graphic design, movie editing, and web design. I consistently follow the technological advances with MacOS, as well as it's connection with iPhones, iPads, and iTunes. I've repaired several Mac products, and worked as a technician at the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for 6 months before starting my own computer consulting company.

Organic Chemistry

As a graduate student, I've taught several courses in chemistry and organic chemistry. I've also taught and tutored organic chemistry courses for the past 8 years at both the high school and college levels. I also have experience teaching MCAT prep courses with focus in Organic Chemistry, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

Praxis

I've been a certified teacher in NJ for 14 years. I received my certification through the Alternate Route Program. I have taken the Praxis Series and received a certificate of Excellence due to my high scores. I currently also serve on the Scoring Committee for the Praxis Program at ETS.

Mathematica

I just completed my first semester as a Graduate Student in Math Education with a concentration in Applied Mathematics and Technology at Columbia University. I took two courses in Abstract Algebra and Finite Math. I earned and A in both classes with special commendation from the instructor for my presentation on simplex method, markov chains, and game theory with microsoft excel.
