Not only am I proficient in Windows per se, but I excel at teaching Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Works. For the past 10 years or so, my students have been doing projects for their classes at the high schools I have taught in, after my lessons. Additionally, I have taught faculty and staff how to use these programs. I can teach you too!
I am certified to teach social studies in grades 6-12 in the state of Florida. As an undergraduate student at New York University, I majored in social studies and have taught all of the subjects over the course of my teaching career (25 years). Additionally, for 7 years I was the chairperson of the social studies department in a large Dade County public high school. I was the Advanced Placement United States history and Advanced Placement European history teacher at the same school. I have taught social studies on all levels from the most basic through honors and A.P. to students with no prior knowledge and to those with advanced knowledge. I am able to teach the concepts as well as specifics, essay writing, map skills, and how to respond to document based questions.
