I have been playing trumpet for nearly 48 years. My career included studying jazz under Bobby Alston, and completion of the Army School of Music. I retired from playing in various Army bands from a 20+ year career. My career included performances for President George W. Bush, The Prince of Saudi Arabia, and at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. In addition, I have played in various musicals, including the lead trumpet part for West Side Story. In teaching I have given lessons to several students in trumpet and emphasize proper breathing technique, reading, and interpretation to make the music come alive! I currently am playing with two musical groups.
