I have successfully completed several courses in computer programming using the C++ language. I have also tutored fellow students through the university tutoring center.


MCAT

I have successfully tutored previous students in the key physical sciences subject areas of general chemistry and physics in preparation for MCAT testing. These students have performed well on this section of the MCAT.


AutoCAD

I was taught AUTOCAD as part of my engineering curriculum. I have also utilized and successfully taught AutoCAD as a portion of the introduction to engineering course.


Computer Programming

Throughout my academic career, I have learned and utilized programming skills in programming languages including C++, FORTRAN, PASCAL, VISUAL BASIC, and MATLAB. My most recent research has utilized FORTRAN and MATLAB extensively including creation and execution of several source code files for data processing and correlation verification.


Fortran

I have experience with several versions of FORTRAN including, FORTRAN77, FORTRAN95, and Compaq Visual Fortran. My undergraduate and graduate theses included creation of several programs for post processing of data and additional analysis. These programs included I/O portions to enable multiple uses.


Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra (Matrices) was a course I successfully completed with an 'A' as a student. I have successfully tutored students in the course since that time in MATH 220 as it is offered at Penn State. I have familiarity with tutoring students utilizing the textbook by David Lay accordingly.


MATLAB

Throughout my academic career, I have learned and utilized skills in MATLAB including the use of the software and the creation of m file programs. My most recent research has utilized MATLAB extensively in data processing and graphical presentation of that data.


Chemical Engineering

I have regularly instructed Engineering Mechanics courses at Penn State including, E MCH 210, E MCH 211, E MCH 212, E MCH 213, which are the subjects of Statics, Dynamics, Strengths of Materials, Thermodynamics, and Fluid Mechanics. I have a PhD in Nuclear Engineering with research focus in Thermal Hydraulics. In addition, I have successfully aided students in Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics courses here and online which provide a foundation for assisting many engineering students include those pursuing Chemical Engineering.

Microsoft Publisher

I was trained on this software as part of the Microsoft Suite training and have successfully assisted several individuals previously in creation of layouts for cards and posters. I personally have also created multiple posters, signs, fliers, and greeting cards. The posters were designed for conference and course presentations, some of which have received presentation awards. Greeting cards have been created for my personal photo Christmas cards over the past 4-5 years.
