My research in the Chemistry department involved enhancing the catalytic activity of silver nanoparticles and improving the process in which 4-Nitrophenol is reduced in water to make various products, mainly drugs. I also have done some graduate work in chemistry involving catalytic reactions. I work as a thin films engineer currently using both my chemistry and materials knowledge. Chemistry is my favorite subject, especially inorganic chemistry and nano chemistry.
I have been using Excel for data analysis for the past few years. Currently I work as a process engineer. Part of my day to day task includes historical data analysis and predictive modeling. I am currently working as a Optics Process Engineer. We have significant data accumulated over the company's lifetime stored in MySQL and SQL tables. I write and use SQL code to parse information data and do predictive modeling. I also use SQl code to generate reports. I am one of the few engineers who knows how to use SQL on my team so I am often tasked with writing new code and generating reports for my team.
