I'm a college professor. My training (master?s degree and doctorate) is in developmental education, which focuses on teaching students to develop the skills necessary to excel in college. Some of the key skills that I have helped students build are in the following areas: English, grammar, proofreading, reading, writing, and vocabulary. In addition to publishing articles in journals, I have helped students develop articles for school and organizational publications. I have helped middle school students, high school students, and college students excel in school. I?m looking forward to helping you to be your very best.
I have an earned doctorate in education. I have also tutored children in the K-6 grade level. In addition, I have also taught several teacher preparation course, preparing people to become K-6 teachers.
I have a master's and a doctorate in Developmental Education. This field of study focuses on helping students succeed in college. It's focus population is under-prepared college students, but the techniques of developmental education can be applied to high school and middle school students as well. Also, my cognate area for my master's degree is remedial reading (which is one of the primary study skills that under-prepared students typically need assistance with). In addition, while completing my graduate studies I spent three years as a GED instructor, helping students with study skills and the following content areas: math, reading, English, writing, social studies, and science.
