In 1996 I took two courses in AutoCAD from Arapahoe Community College; I received A's for both courses. I took these courses to ensure I would know how to properly use AutoCAD. I own a registered copy of AutoCAD. As a registered professional Civil Engineer and as a Numerical Analyst, I have used AutoCAD on a near-daily basis for 20 years.

I am a registered professional civil engineer in the states of California and Colorado. I have practiced engineering for 29 years (12 years in the U.S. Air Force, and 17 years while working for National Home Insurance Company). While at National Home Insurance Company, I trained staff structural engineers in analysis of nationwide structural and geotechnical residential situations. I also coordinated structural investigation and repair of damaged residences with structural and geotechnical engineering consultants. This work involved a broad knowledge of soil mechanics and structural engineering, as well as the ability to communicate with and direct engineering consultants. I conducted structural and geotechnical engineering research projects that ensured accurate company decisions and minimized company expenses. While serving as an engineering officer with the U.S. Air Force, I designed engineering projects for building additions, renovations, and new single-story buildings. I also served as a member of a joint venture construction management team on a $32 million Middle East remote underground command/control facility, monitored project cost, schedule, and quality resulting in on-time, on-schedule, within-budget construction progress, as well as identified and scheduled manpower, equipment and material requirements for civil engineering projects.
