Being an an engineering student, Algebra is always needed to solve various problems. I have been well-educated in the various subject areas of Algebra and have effectively helped others in this subject.
Works with advanced polynomials, and learns more about factoring higher order expressions. Zeros become a key focus for much of the topic, as well as learning to solve real world problems using algebraic equations as a basis for the solution. In integral calculus, the student begins to understand how to find the area under a graph and interpret its meaning in various cases. Microsoft excel is a great tool that can be used for many different applications. Although it may seem enigmatic, once the student learns how to navigate the interface and work with simple spreadsheets, it soon becomes clear how powerful excel can be.
Geometry introduces the student to many different shapes and mathematical models to help solve problems. Like, how much carpet must be used in a room with given dimensions. Sometimes the geometry in real world applications are not so simple, but a knowledge of the basics can be used to simplify the problem and make the solution a lot easier to obtain.
Microsoft Word is more than a simple word processing application. There are many great tools that word includes that users sometimes do not realize are there. One tool, the equation editor, is great for adding complex equations into a report for a science project or scientific report. Other tools include importing pdf files and tables or graphs from other Microsoft Applications into the document to give it some depth. After learning how to access these tools, Microsoft word can be an essential tool for any project.
Physics includes a collection of various subject areas that explain every day phenomenon. How gravity works and how to approximate the time it takes for an object to fall. How static electricity causes someone to get shocked when they touch a doorknob. Even how an electric circuit is used to transfer power to operate a small device. Physics is more than just a class to dread in highschool, its an interesting collection of real scientists experiments explaining what happens around us and why things work.
Microsoft Powerpoint is a great presentation tool. The student will learn how to create slides and add animations to give life to the presentation. After learning the interface and how powerpoints work, the student will be ready to give a presentation like no other.
Elementary Math includes the building blocks that teach the student how to solve real world problems. Usually the problems at this point are how to give back change and calculate simple interest; however, these fundamentals can help strengthen the students knowledge when entering into higher level math classes like Algebra and Geometry.
