The main goal of this course is to provide students with a thorough and extensive study of linear equations and quadratic functions and graphing on the xy-coordinate system. By the end of this course, students will have all the knowledge necessary to solve and graph equations and inequalities. They will also be able to apply this knowledge to other areas of math, such as word problems, ratios and proportions. I can help students to solve linear and quadratic equations and help with tables,graphs etc. Students will generate equivalent expressions and use formulas. Geometry introduces the study of points, segments, triangles, polygons, circles, solid figures, and their associated relationships as a mathematical system. The focus is on comparisons between these figures concerning surface areas, volumes, congruency, similarity, transformations, and coordinate Geometry. Algebra I & II skills are use throughout the course. The main focus of geometry is on plane and solid figures and their properties. A major emphasis is triangle properties and relationships. Coordinate graphing, slope, and linear equations are also presented. Through the study of geometry, the student will: ? Develop proficiency in using geometry to solve problems in everyday life. ? I have a great interest in teaching and have handled students from 1st to the tenth grade, teaching them English, Math, Sciences, Geography, History and Social Studies.
