General Computer

I love showing people the many great features on Macs, and that goes for the iPad and iPhone too. I've been using Macs since the very first one in 1984, and am currently using a new iMac. Whether you need help with music, email, photos, calendar, spreadsheets, or word processing -- whether you just want general everyday how to do this or that on your computer, or whether you want advanced skills in video editing -- I can help you.

Video Production

I've been a professional filmmaker for over 25 years. I started out producing very high profile music-videos, generating eight #1 MTV hits. In recent years, I've shifted into feature-length documentaries (for PBS and others), and innovative web videos for a nonprofit organization I started. My extensive credits are available on request. I can teach you an enormous amount about production, and everything there is to know about editing -- which is the last step in creating a film or video, but often the most important.

Macintosh

I've been using Macs since the day the first one came out in 1984. I've had a dozen machines ever since, always staying up on the latest in both hardware and software. I also use Macs exclusively in my film and video production work. And I've taught dozens of friends and employees the ins and outs of Macs for many years. I also think it's important to teach this stuff in a conversational and intuitive way, rather than getting too technical. For those who are techie types, however, I'm there for you as well. But most people just want to know how to use their computer in ways that make their lives or jobs or schoolwork easier and/or more fun or more productive. I have you covered in all departments.

Film

There's not a whit of difference in teaching film vs. video production. So please refer to my description under the Video Production heading.
