My name is Michael and I am a graduate from the University of New Haven with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. I was awarded with "CSCPA Taxation of the Year Award" in a graduate taxation class while in my undergrad years for my academic success and work ethic in class. While taking classes full-time, I also worked part-time at the university's recreation center. I worked as a customer service attendant. Elementary (K-6th)

While attending high school, I was hand selected by a teacher to visit the local elementary school to help tutor students ages 5-11 in; math, social studies, science, English, and reading. Grades for each student dramatically improved. It was not just helping memorize facts and numbers but making learning fun. For example; if the student loves sports and needs help in stats I would teach them statistics I would use baseball batting averages as a way to teach. I love working with kids and seeing them reach their highest potential. I am also very active in Big Brother program. My "little" has really taken an interest in school recently. His mother told me that he says he "wants to do real well and go to college like Mike!" Overall I have about 3 years experience tutoring children between the ages of 5-11. I would really love the opportunity to work with your student to help reach their highest potential.
