I have been a certified math teacher for four years now. I am currently teaching Algebra along with other levels of math at an early college. I think I could be a great tutor for any level of mathematics since it is my area of specialty, I am certified to teach it in two states, and I love helping students understand it. Therefore, I should be qualified to teach Algebra 1.
I lived in Japan for a little over two years. I was in the south where there was not much English, so I became proficient in the language. Along with my language skills, I also have a great understanding of the culture. Therefore, I feel I am qualified in Japanese.

During my undergraduate, I took grad courses in elementary education extension with a focus on mathematics so that I could teach elementary as well as secondary mathematics.
I previously worked as a counselor for a day camp for elementary school students. While doing arts and crafts, I incorporated basic math concepts to fulfill an educational requirement of the program without having a traditional classroom style. I took piano lessons for six years and voice lessons for four years. I started an a cappella group in high school and joined an a cappella group my freshman year of college. I have taken sight reading and music theory classes throughout my education and have a general passion for and knowledge about music.

I have always enjoyed singing. I took voice lessons for years and have been singing in a cappella groups for eight years. I studied the anatomy associated with singing and would love to tutor others in this.
I studied American Sign Language in high school and practiced all throughout college. I even went back to my high school to help out during the ASL class.
I passed a linear algebra class in college with a 94 average and tutored my peers in linear algebra during my junior and senior year.
