I have been assisting students in grades 4-7 in both public and private schools in the area. Many students find that writing and being able to express themselves both creatively, as well as using correct grammar, is truly a challenge. I have developed some principles and lessons which can be individualized, which I implement in their Common Core Curriculum. Common Core standards are innovative, however the initiative has not allowed for continuity in instruction. As a professional, I feel that students learn best while practicing reading, writing, and comprehension skills. Teaching is Learning, and I discover that many of my students benefit from my creative, meaningful, and fun learning sessions. A guided learning experience with Common Core Standards as the "bar", can be a fulfilling experience!!!!
