Strong math, science, and engineering proficiency

I graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana with a 3.42 GPA in nuclear engineering. While still in college I had the opportunity to tutor quite a few people in Chemistry, Physics, Math, and Engineering Classes. While these subjects are my main strengths I am also available in other subjects such as History, English, and Biology. My tutoring style for math based subjects usually entails learning through examples or sample problems. Generally, I try to start basic and work up ... [more]

Study Skills

As a Tutor for Wyzant, an ACT coach, and a teacher for another company I have been instilling study skills into my students since I began. I have been instructing my students since day one to set up a study schedule, prioritize what needs to be done first, and find a non distracting environment to study in. Additionally, I have been coaching ACT students in how to study and prepare more effectively for the test. Finally, I have been teaching for almost 2 years now in a variety of different subjects (with top ratings) and know exactly how to help students achieve better study habits.

AutoCAD

I have used the AutoCAD and its family of programs (Inventor, VIZ Render, etc.) for all four years of college and three years in high school. I have done many projects with it including 3D printing and the architectural design of a nuclear reactor.

Linear Algebra

I have taken linear algebra in college and helped tutor some of my friends in the subject. I later used linear algebra concepts to set up complex differential equations in a matrix theory format for a multitude of school projects.

MATLAB

I have used this programming format extensively in college, from computing courses to coding real world applications. My most recent project was coding a simulator for neutron diffusion in a nuclear reactor
