The ASVAB is a test given by all branches of the military to measure your knowledge and ability. The test is taken over 3 hours and you will be tested in Ten different areas. Your ASVAB scores determine what jobs you will qualify for in the military. It is super important, if you want ANY say as to what specialty you will be assigned, that you do extremely well on this test. As retired Army, medical core, I have been preparing students for the ASVAB for many years. If you need help, do not wait until the last minute to start fine tuning your academic skills. You need adequate time to prepare and study for each of the ten sections. **Remember** High Score = better chance of getting your first choice Military Job. (and better pay grade) I wish you all Good Luck! Thank you for honoring and protecting our country. Allison

I have Successfully prepared Hundreds of High School Students for the following regents: Global Studies, American History(US History), US Politics & Government (US History & Government) Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics. Prior to earning my Doctorate, I privately tutored and taught Regents Prep to High School Students as well as students who are Home-Schooled within the Smithtown and Sachem School Districts. The Regents exam is meant to test the skills and knowledge learned across the year and determine each students level of competency in that subject. The score your child will achieve is not only important for graduating with a Regents Diploma, but important for their applications and admission requirements for College. I wish your child all the best this 2012/2013 School Year. If you would like to be tutored for the Regents, Please secure your spot ASAP as I do not believe in last minute studying for the exam. You need to properly prepare over 2-3 months so when you walk into the exam, on test day, you feel confident, ready, not stressed out, this will lead to a better testing experience and a much better overall score.
As a Doctor of Nursing Practice, I've been teaching students both in the classroom and privately the necessary components of the TEAS exam. The TEAS exam tests English verbal ability, Reading Comprehension, Science and Mathematics. Nursing school slots are extremely competitive. I utilize multiple techniques to enhance your critical thinking abilities, while mastering the necessary content, and often utilizing memory aids to assist the student in recalling difficult content information. I have successfully taught for over 13 years prep for the TEAS exam, as well as the NLN-PAX, NET, PSB-RN, and C-NET-RN; and more recently the HESI-A2 entrance exam.
