Elementary (K-6th)

I have tutored elementary math, reading and reading/comprehension, sciences, and social studies. I have three years of experience and have mostly worked with elementary and middle school students. A testimonial: I tutored a girl who was in third grade public school, but came from an Amish school the year prior. She was behind in her studies and her and her parents were quite frustrated. After only a few short weeks of working with her, she was able to understand her math and sciences better and did very well in reading too.

Study Skills

I am qualified to tutor study skills because I am organized and did well with this through school. I am also qualified because I just completed a 2 month course on how to tutor, how to make the sessions tailored to the individual, how to engage the client and make the session enjoyable and fun for them (especially with kids) as well as to create and maintain structure to ensure success. I look forward to helping others overcome this obstacle and providing the knowledge that I know and have been taught.
