I attended a doctoral program in School Psychology. During the program, we focused on elementary learning strategy, elementary education curriculum, and working with students with special needs. I have tutored in a public elementary school.
I completed doctoral level coursework in school psychology where we focused on how to learn and how to study. I have tutored several students in study skills where I taught how to take notes, how to organize, and techniques to retain information. I implement various ways to study because some students learn visually, some learn through action, and some learn audibly.
I have helped several 11th graders with the complete college process from researching schools to completing applications, to proofing college essays. Due to my various colleges attended and degrees, I have personally completed (for my own education) over 60 applications.
I took nutrition classes in undergraduate as part of my premed track. Since then, I have maintained an interest in nutrition, have read many nutrition related books, and have personally seen a dietician to obtain more information. I have worked with several clients on developing their personal nutrition plan.
