Study skills are important to excel in school, especially college, so I think my completion of my 4 year degree in 3.5 years points toward my ability to study effectively to succeed in the classes I took. I made study guides to study off of while in school and organized my notes to be most beneficial to me as I studied continuously for my exams. Study skills differ from subject to subject, but there are underlying themes that can be learned to set students up for success, and I would enjoy to share my tips to students as they learn and study.
Genetics was one of my passions while in college. I truly enjoyed the subject matter and hold a very tight understanding of the intricate details of this class. I helped explain key concepts to students struggling and was able to further apply my understanding of genetics while taking cancer courses at SNC.
I took a full year of organic chemistry as a part of my biology degree from St. Norbert College. I excelled at the subject matter and found that I really enjoyed learning about the mechanisms of organic chemistry. I feel confident that I would be able to share my joy of this subject with others and would tutor using models and diagrams like I was taught at SNC.
I have attended Bellin College as a part of their accelerated 15 months program. This meant that I was a part of their very vigorous pharmacology curriculum, and I excelled, scoring high on all exams and assessments. I also have a very long history in pharmaceuticals as I was a pharmaceutical rep. I enjoy this subject matter and have served as a resource for my peers.
