SAT Reading

I am qualified to teach and tutor SAT Reading because I have a law degree from Western State University College of Law. By nature, I am an analytical reader and enjoy reading in a critical manner. My tutoring session in the area of SAT Reading will provide a student with a unique and effective method for answering the questions on the Reading Passages section of the SAT. I will also teach my student simple and effective strategies for tough vocabulary-based questions.

SAT Writing

I am qualified to teach SAT Writing and SAT Essay because of my educational background, legal experience, and SAT tutoring experience. I will provide my student with a precise and targeted approach to the Grammar rules tested on SAT Writing. For the Essay section of the SAT, my student will thoroughly learn an easy, step-by step method for writing a well-organized, high-scoring essay. *Remember: the neatness of your handwriting counts!

TOEFL

Elementary (K-6th)

I believe I am qualified to tutor in English, Writing, and Reading. I obtained my Juris Doctorate degree from Western State College of Law. I also obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science from University of Southern California. I decided to put my career on hold so I may be a full-time mother for my two young children. I presently tutor students in third grade in the Corona/Norco Unified School District. I genuinely enjoy working with young students and get excited when they "get it" and find learning fun.

Study Skills

Hello, I believe I am very qualified to tutor students in Study Skills. I obtained my B.A. degree at University of Southern California. I also graduated from law school and obtained my J.D. degree. During college and law school, I worked part-time. I understand that time management and organization of priorities are essential in doing well in your academic life and career life. I look forward to tutor students in this area because it is an important skill to acquire. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Rochelle M.

College Counseling

I believe I am qualified to provide counseling for college admissions because I obtained my Juris Doctorate degree from Western State College of Law. I also obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science from U.S.C. When I was a junior in high school, through the help of my career guidance counselor, I obtained valuable experience in what exactly college admission officers are looking. While a student at U.S.C., I worked for the Admissions Center at USC Law School and learned from the admission officers themselves what they perceived an ideal candidate would be.

CBEST

I am qualified to tutor for the CBEST because I earned my Juris Doctorate degree from Western State College of Law and I have a B.A. degree in Communications and Political Science from University of Southern California. Currently, I have numerous contract jobs where I am constantly writing and drafting contracts for telecommunications carriers and their clients.
