I recently graduated from Brigham Young University with my Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Science. During my college career I fell in LOVE with the sciences especially chemistry! Previously I've tutored college students in biochemistry, general chemistry and was a grader for college level nutritional science classes. Helping others to see and understand concepts and pathways that were previously unclear has been a joy to me as well as those I have worked with. I believe everyone has the cap... [more]
At BYU I took the first and second half of General Chemistry as well as the General Chemistry Lab. The first half included atomic and molecular structure including bonding and periodic properties of the elements; reaction energectics, electrochemistry, acids and bases, inorganic and organic chemistry. The second half mostly covers the same topics but in a quantitative way. I did extremely well in these all of these classes and even broke my neck during the first half and still was able to come out with an A in the class. This is also the class where I met my husband! I love chemistry and believe it can make sense to everyone!
During my undergraduate program I took and did well in the 1st and 2nd half of organic chemistry, the organic chemistry lab as well as biochemistry. The topics covered in these classes include chemical bonds and molecular structure, conformation and configuration, functional classes, reactions and mechanisms, syntheses. I believe O-chem can seem really daunting at first but when you take it step by step you will be amazed at what you can understand!
I recently graduation from Brigham Young University with my Bachelors Degree in Nutritional Science. I did extremely well in these classes procuring me academic scholarships while I was attending school. This major required me to take a variety of nutrition classes along with chemistry classes including a nutritional biochemistry class. I truly love this material. Previously I have been a nutritional science grader and have helped students in there classes and understanding of nutrition.
