Knowing American history is an integral part of knowing and understanding US law. Labor law has roots in the industrialization of America. Civil rights is rooted in the drive to end slavery and the racial distinctions that were inherent in slavery. We fought wars to create and defend our form of democracy.

I am completing my PhD in Financial Economics, which is considered a PhD in both Finance and Economics. I have taught finance at University of New Orleans, University of Evansville, and University of Dallas. I am also a CPA licensed in Texas and have an MBA from UT Austin.

I am licensed as a lawyer in Texas. I am currently inactive since I do not practice law.

I have been a teaching assistant for Intermediate Accounting the University of Texas at Austin for Professor Dan Short (no longer there) in 1985 and 1986. I taught Principals of Accounting at LSU Alexandria in 2002. I use accounting data in financial analysis that I teach and perform often.

I have worked as an accountant for Big 4 firms. International Paper as an internal auditor, EW Blanche as Tax Manager, practiced law and taught finance, economics and business law at the college level. I have been licensed as. CPA since 1987.


CFA

Although I do not have the CFA designation, I am licensed as a CPA, I am licensed as a lawyer in Texas and I have almost complete a PhD in Financial Economics. Thus I believe that I have covered all aspects of what a CFA needs to know.


Social Studies

I am ABD in a Ph. D. in financial economics from the University of New Orleans. this is a field of the study of human behavior. I also have a JD from LSU and I am licensed to practice law in the State of Texas bar number 792878. Again this is the study of human behavior which must consider cultural norms as well as economic and government effects on behavior.


Tax Accounting

I am licensed as a CPA in Texas. I have prepared federal income tax returns professionally for over 10 years. I have also severed as tax manager for a publicly held corporation. My responsibilities included preparing and filing the corporate income tax return.
