I am qualified as a grammar tutor for many reasons. First and foremost, I love teaching! I moved to the states in 2000, at the age of 9. I knew I loved grammar as soon I entered my first ESL class. For many years, I dreamt of becoming a teacher. Fast forward to 2013, and I received my bachelors in education. I taught at an elementary school in Missouri for two years where I planned and carried out reading interventions for students in K-5th. I also tutored Indian students in the community and taught them grammar, mathematics, and writing.
I am qualified as a pre-algebra tutor for many reasons. First and foremost, I love math! I was actually the top pre-algebra/algebra student in middle school. I tutored freshman students in high school when I was in 12th grade. In college, I often helped my peers study for exams by helping them relate to topics to make the learning fun and easy. I have learned many tips and tricks to help your student ACE prealgebra.
There are many reasons as to why I want to tutor elementary. First and foremost, I want to tutor at this level because love for learning starts at an early age and giving the young mind the right aid at the right time is very crucial. I also want to tutor in this group because I love working with this age group. I have a degree in Education and student taught in a 3rd grade classroom and interned in a 4th and 2nd grade classroom. I worked at KinderCare for almost 2.5 years. I currently work at Pattonville School District as a Para and a sub teacher.
I first started teaching study skills in 2009 in my college Freshman classes. It is important to have good study skills in place to ensure a successful education. Some of the skills I teach are time management, test taking skills, and stress management.
