Throughout my career, a major responsibility as well as pleasure is communicating ideas and findings through the written word. Articles of mine related to economic policy are published regularly in national trade journals. Closer to home, a city paper asked me to serve on its Midwest Voices panel, providing regular op-ed pieces throughout the year. I currently tutor students in writing and composition at a Community College. Additionally, I have written and edited textbooks for the national Junior Achievement office.

Through "Youth Friends," I have tutored elementary school students in English and math. My approach to tutoring youngsters involves discovering an approach that most closely fits their learning style. We always spend time reviewing their last session, so students retain and build on information.
