Education is my passion! I have recently taught high school science and enjoyed every minute of it. My experience in teaching and tutoring extends nearly ten years. I have tutored hundreds of students not only in elementary, high school, and college academic settings, but private home sessions as well. Education is the pathway to opportunity and success. My ultimate goal is to help break down any barrier standing in your way to achieving this success. I tutor statistics, biology, algebra... [more]

Algebra 1

My experience in tutoring algebra and other math subjects is rich! I have been employed multiple years in both colleges and elementary schools teaching and tutoring students in math and science. Over the last seven years I have tutored hundreds of students in math, from children to adults. I have received many awards and certificates for excellence in tutoring. I have also received extensive tutoring training that highly qualifies me to help students with learning disabilities succeed in math.

Biology is my passion! I currently hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and have a strong appreciation for the life sciences. I have a deep understanding of every biological concept you are likely to come across in a biology course. I have tutored hundreds of high school and college students in biology over the last seven years. I am highly qualified and capable to discuss any biological science topic at an advanced level.

As a biology major during college, I had to take many chemistry courses. In fact, a great amount of biology actually requires a strong understanding of chemistry. Over the last seven years I have tutored hundreds of high school and college students in chemistry.

Whether you are struggling with normal or binomial distributions, t-tests, z-scores, regression equations, permutations, chi-square tests, or any other topic in probability and statistics, I am confident that my experience and deep understanding of probability and statistics will help you succeed!

To speak or write with perfect English grammar only takes patience and practice. I have been studying English grammar at an advanced level for the last decade. I have also worked at colleges and elementary schools as a tutor helping students succeed in English. I have lots of experience teaching Standard English grammar and proofreading essays. Regardless of one's dialect or educational background, I am highly qualified to prepare him or her to immediately begin speaking and writing with perfect English grammar.

Elementary Math

I have a tremendous amount of experience teaching and tutoring Elementary Math. For multiple years I have worked in elementary and grammar schools with the sole responsibility of helping academically struggling schools increase their math scores. Whether the elementary math is being taught from a textbook, or taught from a special online program, I have had lots of experience teaching and tutoring all age ranges in elementary math.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and have conducted genetics research at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. A genetics course was one of the required core courses for my major. Also, most of the courses I have taken in biological science covered varying amounts of genetics instruction and overlap. Finally, genetics is my most fascinating discipline of biology, and I have spent a great amount of time interpreting genetics concepts and solving application problems. Finally, I have years of experience tutoring biology, in which genetics problems have come up.

While many states take Praxis, Illinois has its own basic skills diagnostic test for prospective teachers via the Illinois Licensure Testing System (ILTS) called TAP (Test of Academic Proficiency). This exam is similar to the Praxis exam administered through other states. I have successfully passed the TAP and have aided other students with both exams.
