I have been in ministry for more than 30 years and have taught in many and varied situations. Teaching has always been one of the most fulfilling parts of my life! I returned to school in 2007 and graduated in December, 2012! (Yes, I'm a living cliche, "better late than never.") I have been in ministry for over 30 years. I have studied for hundreds of sermons, lessons, and conferences. I am able to organize subject matter both in larger and more concise contexts. I graduated with a 3.81 GPA in college and generally received good marks on my papers in a variety of subjects. This was in part due to my ability to glean the most from my study time. I believe I am able to share good study habits with students and help them develop the skills they need to do better in any educational setting. I would be able to organize materials so as to more easily help students learn those things required from the course. I also served as a writing tutor at Miami University in Middletown, Ohio. In this capacity I was able to help students write at the college level and organize their subject material accordingly.
I believe I can effectively assist students in social studies courses as I have an undergraduate degree in psychology. I have had college credit coursework in social studies and many other similar areas of study. Other courses completed in college which would allow me to tutor in this area are history, anthropology and American history.
I have studied many of the the classics as my original "major" in college was English. I have a large block of college credit hours in American and British Literature in addition to poetry, short story, fiction, and non - fiction. Not only was I required to read various genres of literature but critical analysis was also an important factor in my study.
