I have experience as both a school-sponsored and freelance tutor for students in middle school, high school, college, and graduate school. While I was at SUNY Potsdam I was employed in the student History Lab, where in addition to History tutoring, my main job was to assist students with organizational skills and information retention. This ranged from how to set up their notebooks, to learning better note-taking skills, to planning and completing assignments on a deadline.
I graduated with a BA in Archaeology, a sub-field of general anthropology, and I tutored this subject while in college. I was also a teaching assistant in an entry level anthropology class.
My bachelor's degree is in this subject. I have attended an archaeological field school, and worked as a professional archaeologist.
Social and cultural anthropology was the focus of a class for which I was a teaching assistant. I also completed a college level sociology class.
Classical Studies was one of my minors at SUNY Potsdam. I received an award from the school for excellence in Classics.
