My ear training qualifications consist of ear training as part of the package of musical skills for the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Music from California State University, Northridge. In order to receive my degree, I was required to pass tests in four ear training skill areas, specifically melodic dictation, rhythmic dictation, diatonic and chromatic harmonic dictation. These tests were passed. During the years following completion of my degree requirements, I consistently try to keep these skills at peak efficiency through various software ear training programs like EarMaster Pro and Auralia.
As a pianist and piano teacher, I have 30 years of experience in choral and vocal accompanying at the high school level. This includes performing at various festival competitions with various choirs, concert choirs, men's and women's choirs. In 1982, I was a featured soloist at California State University, Northridge, performing the Schumann Piano Concerto.
