I have a passion for teaching, and have been an educator for 20 years in early childhood and elementary school settings. After receiving my second Master's Degree and certification in Special Education, I have taught students with language-based learning disabilities and dyslexia. I am a special education teacher trained in multisensory reading programs including PAF and Wilson, to help young students with language-based learning disabilities. PAF and Wilson are explicit, sequential, phonetic approaches that help students with decoding and spelling. The programs include a great deal of practice and review to help students master letter sounds and spelling patterns.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have a Master's Degree and certification in Elementary Education K-6. Additionally, I have a second Master's in Education teaching students with disabilities. I have taught Kindergarten for four years and worked in a variety of early childhood settings. I have also worked in special education settings for ten years using a specialized reading program for struggling readers.


I am a certified Special Education teacher who has been trained at the Windward School, an independent school for children with language based learning disabilities. I taught language arts using PAF, Preventing Academic Failure which is a multisensory, phonetic reading approach.


I am a certified Special Education teacher with ten years' experience teaching and tutoring students with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities.
