I am qualified to teach elementary K-6th grade. I have been teaching and tutoring students in all subject areas over 20 years and work well with all different types of children. I have also supportive in giving guidance to others as a master teacher and have been a team leader for the school. I use a lot of my own both materials to ensure that learning concepts is mastered along with meeting the requirements. I have a strong background in Phono visual techniques which used all five sensory channels to engage them in learning and sounding out words so they are able to transfer them to reading and writing.
My passion is working with the challenges of special needs kids and be able to see them succeed with confident and believe in themselves. I feel very comfortable in working with them and their families to build a strong foundation and a team approach to learning.
I have worked with children with all ranges of ADD/ADHD and have also done referrals. I also started a support group when I was teaching for both the children and the parents.

I have home schooled two families that had children with high functioning autism and developed instruction based upon their individual needs.
I have taught children that have dyslexia and been able to make tremendous progress with them through compensating their weaknesses and capitalizing on their auditory/visual modalities.

I have worked with students who were auditory impaired and had to make adjustments in their learning and engage them in multi sensory techniques to help master concepts.
