I have been tutoring students in math for around 25 years. I have tutored students in various branches of math ranging from arithmetic to calculus. I have tutored students as young as my nephews as well as students older than my mother. My methods in mathematics have been proven to work well. Many of my past clients have passed Regents exams, RCTs, did well on standardized tests like SATs and ACTs, and earned excellent grades in college and graduate level courses. Recently, most of my clients... [more]
I am qualified to tutor Algebra 1 because I am familiar with all of the topics within it. I know logic, quadratic equations, graphing, single-variable equations, functions, etc. with great detail since junior high school. I also have scored highly in 3 New York State Regents exams including a perfect score on 2 of them.
I am qualified in tutoring algebra 2 because I know all topics within the subject very well. I am an expert in trigonometry (all of the functions), logarithms, factoring, probability, and all of the measures of a circle including angular and linear distance. I scored well on all major exams including New York State Regents & SAT associated with Algebra 2.
I am qualified to tutor calculus because of my knowledge of the subject. I scored a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam. I also have tutored students since then. I have given good lesson planning to students who struggled with integration, derivatives, limits, concavity, inflection, etc.
Chemistry is a subject I can tutor because I have amassed credible knowledge of the periodic table. I also have good understanding of chemistry concepts like balancing reactions, nuclear energy, ideal gases, bonding, compounds, mixtures, etc. Lastly I can tie all of these concepts together when discussing more intensive concepts in chemistry.
Geometry is most likely my favorite topic in all of math. I am qualified to tutor geometry because I know all of the properties of the 6 major quadrilaterals backwards and forwards. I also know how to construct equilateral polygons from triangles to decagons using my geometric skills. Lastly I have perfect knowledge of coordinate geometry. I can show students how coordinates can be used to find slope, and distance.
I have tutored pre-algebra in the past. I have seen good results from some of my past clients. Many have shown a better knowledge of variables, constants, linear equations, systems of equations, etc.
I never took precalculus. I jumped straight from trigonometry, functions, and radial geometry straight into calculus. I am perfectly qualified to tutor precalculus because I have bedrock knowledge of domain & ranges, logarithms, natural number e, graphing higher order functions, and exponential functions.
I learned Spanish in high school under 4 years of rigorous instruction. I am qualified to be a Spanish tutor because I understand the language very well. I know how to form complete sentences, conjugate verbs, interpret expressions from Spanish to English, and use proper grammar when writing a long piece in Spanish.
I can definitely tutor trigonometry. I am well versed in the three main trigonometric functions as well as the three reciprocal trigonometric functions. I also clearly know how to use them to solve various geometry problem with right triangles as well as other polygons. I could show how to solve such problems through intense lesson planning.
I am very qualified to tutor in SAT Math. I know the math questions that the SAT will have very well. I also know how to solve all of these math problems ranging from the geometry ones to the algebra ones. I could give instruction on how to solve such problems using certain techniques.
I am qualified to tutor for the GRE because I have passed the GRE myself. I know the math portion very well, and I have proven methods to solving such problems. I also can instruct the reading portion since I have a good grasp of the type of question that would appear in that section.
I am qualified to tutor GED because I had all of the minimum skills to graduate from high school. I also have tutored three people in my close circle of friends who earned their GED. I mainly tutored them in the math, science, and reading portion of the exams. Over the years, I have also learned the minimum score to pass the GED.
I have tutored students for the PSAT in the past. I am qualified to tutor the PSAT because I know the questions that will appear on the exam. I can help prospective students with proper guidance to solving such questions.
I am qualified to tutor in this subject because I know the math on the ACT. I am an expert in tutoring algebra, geometry, fractions, ratios, percents, decimals, etc. I also have scored highly on comparative exams like the SAT and GRE.
I am qualified to tutor in this subject due to my experience in the subject. I took AP Calculus in high school and scored a 5 on the AP exam. I also took a class exclusively in differential equations in college & received an A.
Logic is part of the algebra courses I took in eighth and ninth grade. I passed both years with grades of A. I have also tutored Logic since 1997 to several students.
I am qualified to tutor students who take Regents exams for two reasons. One is that I have passed 10 Regents exams (with a 90+ average). The other is that I own a New York State Regents Diploma. I am well versed on how to answer the questions asked on Regents exams whether it's for geometry, algebra, Spanish, English, US History, chemistry, biology, etc. I also have particular testing strategies that work well when taking a Regents exam.
