I am certified in two states to teach elementary K-6 students. I also have a reading endorsement to serve as a reading interventionist in K-12 settings. I have taught elementary school for 12+ years. In addition, I have mentored and evaluated on a full time basis teachers in the K-5 setting.

Study Skills

My degree and the majority of my experience is in Special Education- Specific Learning Disabilities, where I provide direct services and accommodations, including to but not limited to learning strategies and study skills in the content areas/general education settings. The majority of the students have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that are written/reviewed annually. I serve as case manager for these students in developing and monitoring their IEPs, which include goals/objectives and supports in the ares of study skills.


ADHD

My degree and the majority of my experience is in Special Education where I provide direct services and accommodations, including to but not limited to behavioral interventions and learning strategies in the content areas/general education settings, where many of the students have either been diagnosed or show behavioral characteristics of ADD/ADHD. The majority of the students diagnosed with ADD/ADHD have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that are written/reviewed annually. I serve as case manager for these students in developing and monitoring their IEPs.


Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

My degree and the majority of my experience is in Special Education where I provide direct services and accommodations, including to but not limited to behavioral interventions and learning strategies where these students have either been diagnosed or show behavioral characteristics of autism. Desktop Publishing

I have been a Florida Master Digital Educator, providing professional development across the state to educators in integrating technology into instruction in a hands-on, higher-level thinking, project/challenge based approach. This training includes beginner and advanced desktop publishing. I also work with my husband in his business of graphic design. I frequently assist with technical edits and layout. I have also published materials for trainings, marketing, and educational purposes.


Dyslexia
