I've used SPSS for quite a few years. I've taught college level research methods and statistics courses that use this software. My experience includes writing SPSS syntax. I've worked with undergraduate and graduate students who have used SPSS in research projects primarily in psychology, social work, and criminal justice.

I have used SAS since about 1983. I have experience in data management programming and SAS procedures. Data management experience includes data step and SQL programming. I have experience with most of the Base SAS procedures. I have experience with quite a few SAS-STAT procedures (e.g., ANOVA, GENMOD, LOGISTIC, SURVEYLOGISTIC, PHGLM, REG). I have primarily used SAS in social science research settings, but most skills are transferable to other substantive areas.


I have a doctorate in sociology. I have worked in social science research settings for over 13 years. I have taught sociology and criminal justice courses at the university level for over 11 years. I can tutor a wide range of sociology courses, including research methods and statistics.
