I have taken numerous syntax and semantics courses at the college level.
I have tutored reading and writing at all age levels and to speakers of many different languages. I have also taken several college level writing classes with an average grade of an A.
I have taken a lot of writing classes at the college level and I enjoy writing on my own time as well. I believe in structured writing that will allow the reader to understand the message in a meaningful way.
My degree in Linguistics required me to take classes in morphology, semantics, reading, writing, phonology and prosody. I currently teach ESL as well.
I have worked with many languages and have studied language patterns in college along with annotating language data and learning the structure of multiple languages. This has allowed me to better teach how to go from one language structure to another.
I proofread and edit for the writing center in college. I also proofread and edit publications, emails, articles at the graduate level for the medical school in my town.
I pride myself in perfect spelling. Part of my proofreading and editing involves spell checking and correcting words. I also have taught and tutored children that are learning spelling in school.
I have my B.A. in Linguistics. This consisted of many courses in phonetics and phonology.
I minored in ASL in college. I am also in an Interpreter Training Program currently, continuing my study in the language.
