Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
I have taught close to 10 autistic students in classroom and private tutoring sessions for many subjects over the last 15 years, using a variety of methods, depending on the extent of their autism and/or their particular interests. All enjoyed learning with me and succeeded in mastering their material and in passing their exams. I have taken more than 20 classes, seminars, and workshops given by psychologists, PHDs, doctors, etc., on teaching students with Autism, Aspergers, and ADHD. During my 15 years of teaching in afterschool and Sunday educational programs, I was given most of the special needs students, especially ones with Autism to teach, because of my continual success with these students. You are welcome to contact my education director for 11 years to verify this.
