As a Certified Reading Specialist with a Master's degree, I believe that I am qualified to tutor a student in English as a second language. I have studied college level Spanish and Hawaiian. Therefore, I believe that I have sufficient knowledge of the intricacies of learning another language.

I hold permanent certification to teach grades N-12, in New York State. I am certified in Elementary Education, Social Studies and I have a Master's degree in Reading. Having taught High School level History courses that followed Regents curriculum guidelines, for 25 years, as well as college level courses in South Carolina, I qualify for Regents tutoring. I have tutored students in Regents History courses, while teaching. I have been successful in teaching a wide range of students, including those with learning disabilities, as well as adults who only spoke Spanish.
