Hi! Algebra is the foundation through which students can better understand higher levels of mathematics such as Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Precalculus. It is important that students attain a good comprehension of Algebra if they wish to succeed in future math classes. I ensure my students do so by making the subject as simple and painless as possible.
It is important for students to understand Algebra 2 as a concept. Many teachers are used to giving lectures following the textbook which may not always be easy to understand and may leave a student feeling overwhelmed. My teaching methods ensure that my students feel confident in their Algebra 2 abilities by making the subject as simple as possible. I was nominated for the Pursuit of Excellence award (the highest award recognized at my school) in math due to my academic achievements in my honors Algebra 2 class my sophomore year.
Geometry may seem intimidating at first but once a student masters the comprehension of logic and deduction, it becomes less stressful and easier to follow. I help students better understand how to apply such logic. I was nominated for the Pursuit of Excellence award (the highest award recognized at my school) in math due to my academic achievements in my Geometry class my freshman year.
Spanish is a very common 2nd language. Luckily for me, my parents made sure I learned it as my first! I would be more than glad to help any students struggling with their Spanish skills.
