My educational background (B.A. from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee) in liberal arts required me to do extensive reading in a wide variety of subject areas. My professional background as a mediator and arbitrator required being able to read background material which was often highly complex and technical. Most importantly I am an avid reader. I attended the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee where I tested out of Freshman English because of my mastery of English while in high school. I continued to explore English courses and became an expert writer in my career as a mediator. Mediators are required to draft clear and concise memoranda of understanding. I love the English language and the enjoy sharing this passion with others.

I was active in local, state and federal politics for some years. I served as a delegate to a presidential nominating convention and held party offices. Additionally I have a liberal arts degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with a major in Political Science.

I am a former professional mediator. I worked for 25 years in the field of conflict resolution. I was a court appointed mediator in a wide variety of cases. I have an extensive background including teaching mediation and negotiation courses at several Chicago area law schools.
