NCLEX

After graduating with my BSN in Nursing, I took the NCLEX and passed on my first try. I am able to help students develop test taking and study strategies specific to the NCELX exam in addition to targeted content review based on the student's NCLEX strengths and weaknesses.


Anthropology

The research that I focused on for my PhD utilized a number of anthropologic theories and research methods. I have taken 4 graduate level classes in anthropology. I have also guest lectured in 7 graduate level anthropology classes.


Pharmacology

I have taken 2 semesters of Pharmacology as an undergraduate nursing student. Over the past ten years of my career I have utilized my pharmacology knowledge in my practice. I also tutor students for the nursing boards, including a 3 hour lecture in Pharmacology.


Sociology

The research that I focused on for my PhD utilized a number of sociology theories and research methods. I have taken 3 graduate level classes in sociology. I have developed an award winning sociology based model for my research which has been presented at 2 professional conferences.


TEAS

When I took the TEAS exam to enter nursing school I scored above a 90% in all of the subject areas. As an RN, I have received a B+ or higher in college courses related to the following subjects tested on the TEAS exam: Algebra, Geometry, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Anatomy, Physiology, and English. I am able to help students develop both their content knowledge and their test taking skills.


Nutrition

In addition to undergraduate and graduate level training in nutrition, I spent 5 years running nutrition programs in developing and war torn countries. I have taught nutrition in countries such as Kenya and Sudan and worked with the South Sudan Ministry of Health to develop a national nutrition protocol. My PhD research focused on nutrition programs in emergencies.
