As a college professor, I have experience advising students across the curriculum and can advise students that are currently enrolled in college or applying for college admission. I can help high school seniors with their college major/program selection, application proofreading, and test preparation. I also advise students in course selection based on trends in higher education and, when necessary, help students navigate options for additional support within their institution.
Throughout my years of teaching and tutoring, I have worked with several students with ADD/ADHD. I can tailor my sessions to a student's strengths - for example, incorporating variety and hands-on activities whenever possible. My strategy in teaching anthropology includes relating findings and artifacts to current ongoing debates to illustrate the application of the past to our current lives and enhance appreciation of cultural differences.
