Algebra 1

My background is in mathematics and engineering, and I have taught at the university level (TAMU & UNM). I worked as a math tutor at local community college (Delta College) for most of the introductory math classes; algebra, geometry, and trigonometry and pre-calculus.

Physics is the basis of all engineering and is fundamental for solving problems. I often times had to go back to basic physics to explain engineering from small scale problems (nanomechanics) to large scale problem (tall buildings). I have used physics to explain how to setting up the problem, determining what is needed and how to solve it. My background is in mathematics and engineering and have taught at various levels ranging from high school to the university.


Prealgebra

My background is in mathematics and engineering. I worked as a math tutor at local community college (Delta College) for most of the pre-calculus classes; algebra, geometry, and trigonometry and pre-calculus. I taught at a couple of universities (TAMU, U of I, and UNM) and worked with basic math throughout my career.


Precalculus

I have been working with statistics and data analysis throughout my professional career.


SAT Math

I have helped to prepare individual for the mathematical portion of the ACT, SAT and GRE. My background is in mathematics and engineering and have taught at various levels ranging from high school to the university. I can work with individuals on the basics; setting up the problem, determining what is needed and how to solve it. I am patient and will work through confusing concepts and provide a strategy on how to take the test.


Probability

My background is in mathematics and engineering and have taught at couple of the universities (TAMU, U of I, and UNM). I have extensive course work in probability and statistics and have taught a course in basic probability to first year engineering students.


ACT Math

My background is in mathematics and engineering and have taught at the university level(TAMU & UNM). Elementary Math

Discrete Math

I have background in computer programming, logic and numerical methods. I have been working in system of systems, fuzzy logic, neural networks, probability, and some game theory. I can adapt depending on the need.


Differential Equations

I taught advanced subjects in engineering, which required manipulation of ODEs and PDEs. I have taught numerical methods, which deal with the solving of difference equations and systems of equations. I have had numerous courses in mathematics and engineering and used solution techniques in practice.


C++

Used C++ in the development of my dissertation research for stochastic process modeling. I have background in programming and numerical methods. I have been programming for over 20 years.


Computer Programming

I taught numerical methods in College and have had over dozen computer programming courses in college and graduate school. I have taught introduction to programming for freshmen. I have over 20 years of programming experience.


Fortran

Fortran and Algol were my first languages in computer programming. I used Fortran in the development of realtime models for the Navy and used in for my master's thesis. I have been programming for over 20 years and taught numerical methods. I understand the logic of coding.


Linear Algebra

I taught numerical methods at the university level, which include matrix manipulation, vectors, tensor, systems of equations, and eigenvalues and eigenvectors. I have been using the techniques in practice and have numerous classes in the applications of linear algebra; finite difference equations, finite elements, numerical methods, and optimization.


MATLAB

Taught a basic course in Numerical Methods, which used MATLAB as the programming language. I have 5 years experience using MATLAB.


Mechanical Engineering

I hold a master's degree in theoretical and applied mechanics. I have worked with and taught statics/dynamics, vibrations, fluids, thermodynamics and statistics.


Civil Engineering

I hold a doctorate in Civil Engineering specializing in Structural Mechanics and have taught at the University level.


C#

I developed software for a PHMS system using C# for local company. I have been programming for over 20 years and can adapt for most situations. I have been working with C# for over three years.


Python

I taught a course on introduction to computer science for engineering technology and part of the course was programming in Python. I am currently working with it in the development of a couple of research projects. I have a background in numerical methods and engineering applications.
