I am currently enrolled in a M.Ed. Special Education, Mild/Moderate Disabilities licensure program for PreK-8 through Bridgewater State University (BSU), Bridgewater, MA. I maintain a 4.0 G.P.A. for my 31 credits in this program to date. Under the supervision of a special education teacher, I have completed my pre-practicum fieldwork, which included development of lessons that incorporate hands-on, multi-sensory techniques, with appropriate modifications, progress monitoring and assessment measures. In addition, I have conducted formal observations; developed a Functional Behavioral Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plan; developed an Education Evaluation inclusive of informal and formal assessment measures; developed an Assistive Technology Assessment; written comprehensive evaluation reports and case studies; developed and carried out qualitative and quantitative educational research studies. I have also passed 2 MTEL exams: Communication and Literacy and Foundations of Reading. I have been a graduate student volunteer in 2 different elementary schools for 2 years. In this volunteer capacity, I have assisted students with and without special needs during morning literacy block and at center activities. I have also assisted students in the library narrow their selection on the database and find their selection in on the appropriate shelf. I have also I maintain a 4.0 G.P.A. for my 31 credits in my graduate program to date. I have been a Cub Scout Den Leader for the past 3 years and have helped 5 Webelos attain their highest honor of achievement, the Arrow of Light Award. The Cub Scout Program is educationally and enrichment based.
