I have a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in music and have worked as a performer and music teacher for the past 15 years.
I have been knitting crocheting voraciously since 2005, though my start in the fiber arts began at a very early age. As a child, I lived on a farm in Montana, and my parents had a wool business. We raised our own sheep and angora rabbits there. My mom was active in the fiber arts community there, and it was from her that I learned to spin and weave when I was 6 or 7 years old. After some time away from that, I taught myself to knit from books as an adult and began attending group knitting nights to become involved with other knitters. I have created many projects and have also taught many of my friends to knit. My great grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 8, and I still do crochet, but I prefer knitting.
