Mathematics has always been my passion, but my love for teaching is what motivates me daily! I have worked as a private tutor for the past 7 years and graduated from the University of Central Florida with my BS in Mathematics last year. I recently moved to Franklin, TN where I am pursuing my Master's in Statistics and working part-time as an Adjunct Professor. My teaching philosophy is simple - to truly impact the lives of my students while supporting their academic success! I not only love m... [more]
I have over 5 years of experience tutoring Valencia College students in developmental math courses, the equivalent to Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.
The past two years I have tutored middle and high school students in both Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, including honors level classes.
I completed Calculus 1-3 in my undergraduate coursework and earned A's in all three courses. I tutored my peers during the time I took the courses and have tutored both Calculus 1 and 2 at the high school and college level over the course of 5 years. I have a special interest in methods of integration, as well as series and sequences.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Statistics, and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Statistics.
I completed 3 differential equations courses in my undergraduate degree earning an A in both Ordinary Differential Equations I and Partial Differential Equations and a B in Ordinary Differential Equations II. The focus of my degree was in applied mathematics, so I had a strong interest in the above mentioned courses. I have also tutored Ordinary Differential Equations I at the local institution I am currently employed with, Valencia College, for two years explaining concepts in solving linear and nonlinear differential equations using Euler methods, Laplace transforms and Fourier series.
