Hello everybody! I'm a music college graduate who loves to teach music. I wanna share what I've been learning and bring joy to young and old with music. About myself: I studied music in a private music college in Germany for three years. I majored in vocals and piano with a degree as a band leader and choir director and an additional pedagogical qualification. I had some students at that school and also some private voice and piano students of different ages. I then decided to m... [more]
I went to two different music school/music colleges where I had to take ear training courses, three years in total. I'm proficient in both rhythmic and melodic ear training and also tutored at the music college I attended. In ear training the most important thing is to practice it as often as possible, even if just for five minutes. Getting better is a matter of persistency. What I can help with is how to approach it, how to start, what are ticks and tips to hear things better, practicing together and showing ways how to practice on your own. Also sight singing and being able to sing back the right pitches has an important role in this process so that's something I will most likely include.
I am a semi professional piano player. I studied at two different music colleges, where I had to take piano classes. I started with keyboard for a couple of years when I was younger. I accompany myself in different styles, am able to sight read and I read chords very well. I know all the theory there is to know, how to start if you never touched a piano before and tipps on how to best approach piano pieces etc. I had private students of mostly all ages in Germany and was a tutor for Piano at the Los Angeles College of Music.
I studied in two different music school / music colleges, "Music College" in Regensburg, Germany for 3 years and the "Los Angeles College of Music" in Pasadena, CA. My major in both schools was Vocal Performance. I recently graduated with an Associate of Arts and I also have an pedagogical qualification to teach, which I got in Germany. I was taught and I teach vocal technique, different styles (pop/rock/jazz/country), yodeling, sight singing, vocology (theory behind the voice, how the body works), stage performance, lyric interpretation, songwriting... I did teach before, mostly in Germany. I had private students and was also teaching in the music school which belonged to the college I attended. I now am a professional and working singer with the ability to sing in a lot of different styles and voices.
