I have an in-depth knowledge of French language, literature, and culture from both living abroad in several francophone countries as well as having majored in French in college and graduate school. I am retired now but have extensive experience as a substitute teacher in 2 different school districts as well as with private tutoring. I enjoy individual tutoring the most since with motivated students, significant progress can be made in short periods of time.
I am a substitute teacher for San Diego Unified and San Dieguito Unified High Schools. I am fluent in Spanish.
I worked for 21 years as a self-employed financial advisor with Ameriprise, the nation's largest financial planning company. I operated and ran my own franchise as an independent contractor and helped over 250 clients save, invest, and plan their financial futures. I spent a great deal of time coaching clients and their families on the details of how various financial products and services work. I successfully sold my financial franchise to another advisor last year, thus completing the business cycle of creating, managing, and selling my own business.
