Nursing

I am a Registered Nurse with over four years clinical experience and tutoring at the undergraduate level. To include all medical surgical subjects, NCLEX-style questions, and other topics. Lessons will focus on core content, critical thinking, and practice questions with strategy.


NCLEX

I am a Masters student currently, Bachelors educated and have 4 years of clinical experience. I have been tutoring nursing for 5 years now.


Pharmacology

As a nurse who has learned many classes of drugs, I can teach nursing management and application of drug classes, contraindications, patient teaching, mechanisms, storage of medication, medication safety, and information about the drug, regulations, and safety. I know signs and symptoms of toxicity for drugs, pregnancy safe drugs, along with ante-dotes for treating overdose on certain drugs. Classes I am an expert on include anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, anti-hypertensives, anti-diabetics, anti-coagulants, broncho-dilators, anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretics, opioids, cardiac glycosides, anti-rheumatism, anti-platelets, and more. It also includes, patient teaching in regards to nutrition, when they should alert the doctor, and instructions on how to take it along with acceptable abbreviations for writing prescriptions. And the Joint Commisssion DO NOT USE abbreviations. Also, how to calculate dosage and IV drips or fluids, administration of Oxygen and types of masks as well are included in my knowledge set.


Nutrition

I am a registered nurse who has learned proper nutrition for many different diets along with knowing the basics of food groups, vitamins, calories, minerals, supplements, cooking techniques, and healthy eating or dieting. I teach patients and can teach nursing students or the average person who would like to know more about food label reading, sodium content safety, protein-rich diets, things to avoid for health reasons, etc. I can go over what foods are good for what vitamins and what vitamin deficiencies exist and how to acknowledge signs and symptoms and how to manage further decline.
