Elementary (K-6th)

I am a Georgia certified teacher in early childhood education. I have been working as an elementary teacher for the past nine years. I have spent over 10 years tutoring elementary students.

Study Skills

I have been tutoring for over a decade now. I have also worked with students in two different agencies using study skills curriculum material that they provide. Since I have begun tutoring on my own, I have also been gathering my own materials to work with students on study skills.

Special Needs

I am certified in special education for grades k-12 in Georgia. I have worked as a special education teacher in Cobb County School district. I have also tutored several students with special needs from autism to ADHD.

Social Studies

I feel that social studies has always been my strongest subject even in school. I received a 5 on the AP U.S. History test and a 4 on the A.P. U.S. Government test. I have tutored several students in U.S. history, U.S. government, and World History. Upon graduating with a Masters in Social Work, I began working as a tutor for a private agency in Miami. Soon, I began teaching elementary school for Gwinnett County Public School.

Social Work

I received my MSW degree from Boston College. I concentrated on community organizing, policy planning, and administration. I also took some clinical social work courses as part of the degree requirements. I interned as a Graduate Policy intern for the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy and at Cambridge Public Schools. Upon graduating I did work as a social worker for Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services.
