My credentials for this criteria range from as simple as my high school diploma to my Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management with a minor in Leadership and Great Commissions. I have ten years worth of experience in tutoring in this field from assisting the Youth at First Baptist Church of Haynesville in their educational success. I helped grades 1-6 in Mathematics, Elementary English, History, and Science, and their grades changed substantially in their favor. Perhaps the most significant achievement of my career of tutoring in this field was a student that had difficulty concentrating and solving mathematical formulas in 4th grade. In order to help him overcome his problem, I gave him one-on-one tutoring in Mathematics three days a week. His parents were pleased when his grade of 72 was boosted into a staggering 98, increasing by 25 marks within two months.
I obtained my Associate of Arts in Business Administration in 2014, having graduated with Honors. I am currently taking business classes to work on obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management and will be graduating in December with Honors from Truett-McConnell College. I also have broad experience in business within 6 different markets obtained from working in each personally. These industries include: Retail, Hospitality, E-Commerce, Jeweler, Financial Services, and Telecommunications. Having such a wide range of experience in multiple fields, I feel that I have much to offer to students interested in being tutored in the field of business. This goes for whether they are future business people, current students, or are simply intrigued by the mechanics of the business world. I am qualified both educationally and professionally and am willing to teach all that I learn to all who are willing to listen.
Having grown up with ADD and ADHD, yet still being able to pass high school and graduate from college with Honors, I believe I know how to overcome this disability. I have multiple study habits that I used to overcome this disability and to utilize the ability the learn, concentrate, store, and recall data and information learned in class. Considering I was able to overcome such a disability, I believe I can help others overcome this, as well. Whether by flashcards, memory tactics, or positive enforcement, I know how to make the most of what one can do.
I obtained my Associate of Arts in Business Administration from AIU in 2014. While attending, my highest interest was in the class Principles of Marketing,. I am currently double majoring in Hospitality Management and Marketing at Truett-McConnell College and have taken all of the classes required for Marketing ranging from Company Competition and International Business to Salesmanship and how to set up a competitive advantage that can set your business at a higher likelihood of outperforming your competitors and not resolving to bankruptcy from economic hardship or being obsolete in what you offer when compared to your competitors. On a personal level, I have worked for three companies as a marketing agent in the last five years. These businesses were Pizza Hut of America, Crossmark, and Wal-Mart. Each had a unique tactic of advertising to their customers and obtaining new potential clients or customers while simultaneously keeping their loyal customers interested in returning in the future, and I would love to share these ideas with students that could be potential employees to one of these businesses or another in the future. The field of Marketing is essential in all aspects of business, whether it is as small as a private business to as large as a billion dollar corporation. I have earned my marks and certification in Marketing and would like to offer tutoring to students that share an interest in the field of Marketing.
The beginning is always the best place to start, and from the age of 12, Sociology was perhaps one of the top five topics that fascinated me. I have a substantially large collection of professional, collegiate level text books and .PDF files on Sociology that have contributed greatly to my understanding of the people around me. My educational accomplishments go on to even further support my eligibility for tutoring in this field. During my last quarter at AIU, I had the pleasure of taking Sociology class with a prestigious Sociology Professor named Marshall Lloyd. His teaching style and enthusiasm towards Sociology inspired me to give it my all. Thanks to him, I passed his class as first out of the 36 taking it, and my grade in his class contributed to my bearing Honors and Alpha Cum Laud upon graduation. Therefore, I have over a decade of dedication to the studies of Sociology and experience in the field and educational study of the topic.
