While practicing as an engineer, I utilized AutoCAD to draft numerous circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, etc. While I am no subject matter expert on isometric drafting techniques or the 3D application, I do have some experience with those. I have a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and practiced as an engineer, designing and programming control systems, prior to entering medical school. Throughout my training, and through personal hobbies, I developed proficiency and gained experience with myriad programming languages and environments, including, but not limited to: C, C++, Java, Javascript, Basic, Visual Basic, HTML, MySQL, ASP, VRML, MATLAB, SPICE, various assembly languages, hex editors, and numerous operating systems, including Red Hat Linux, Windows, MS-DOS, OSX, and proprietary command line-based systems. I take a logical and broad-based perspective on programming, to allow students to fully grasp the modular and total construction and function of the creation.

Logic

I have extensive experience in computer programming through my time as an electrical and computer engineer and personal interests; I would argue that nothing teaches one to think logically better than having to explain things to a computer. My skill with logic placed me consistently at the top of my class in Discrete Math and OOP, exposures which further developed my abilities. Finally, I have years of experience teaching difficult subject matter with an interactive and Socratic method, which is effective under any circumstances, but essential for teaching something like logic, which demands a whole new way of thinking from the student.

Electrical Engineering

I have a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. I practiced as an engineer, designing control systems for Southern Company, the largest energy conglomerate in the Southeast, prior to matriculation to medical school.
